2.Performance characteristics and advantages of FKM

FKM refers to a synthetic elastomer with a carbon atom in the main chain or side chain containing fluorine atoms.

Since the C-F bond energy is large(up to 48 kJ/mol),and the fluorine atom covalent radius is 0.72Å,equivalent to half the C-C bond length,the fluorine atom can effectively shield the C-C main chain,ensuring the stability of the C-C chain and giving it superior performance that no other rubber can match:

•Excellent resistance to high temperature:can work in the environment from-40°C to+300°C for a long time,and can withstand short-term temperatures up to 350°C.

•Outstanding resistance to chemical corrosion:has excellent resistance to most media,including hot water,acids,alkalis,oxidants,and organic solvents.

•Good resistance to oil:has good stability against aliphatic,aromatic,and chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents.

•Excellent resistance to hot water and steam:the vulcanized rubber can still maintain good physical and mechanical properties after being heat aged at 175°C for 550 hours.•Excellent flame resistance and vacuum resistance:can be used normally in similar vacuum environments.

3.Application of Fluororubber

3.1 Fluororubber is widely used in fields such as aviation,aerospace,and automobile manufacturing.

3.2 Fluororubber has better low-temperature resistance and oil resistance,and is often used in the fields of petrochemicals and hydraulic transmission.

3.3 It has excellent chemical resistance and high-temperature resistance,suitable for environments with high temperature,high pressure,and strong corrosive medium.
