Recycled rubber refers to the waste vulcanized rubber that has been crushed,heated,and mechanically treated through physical and chemical processes,so that it changes from its elastic state to a plastic and sticky state that can be vulcanized again,abbreviated as recycled rubber.

Recycled rubber can turn waste into treasure in the rubber industry.It has certain plasticity and reinforcing properties,is easy to mix with rubber and auxiliary agents(foaming agent OBSH),has good processing performance,and can be mixed with part of the rubber in rubber products instead of raw rubber.This not only expands the source of rubber,saves raw rubber,and reduces product costs,but also improves the processing performance of the rubber mixture,saves processing energy consumption,and can improve the performance of some products.Thus,a series of technical and economic effects are achieved.

The advantages of using recycled rubber are as follows:
①It is cheap in price,with an approximate rubber content of 50%and containing a large amount of reusable softeners,zinc oxide,and carbon black,etc.Its tensile strength can reach 910MPa or above.
②It has good plasticity and is easy to mix with rubber and auxiliary agents.Therefore,when recycled rubber is mixed with raw rubber during compounding,not only can the compounded rubber be of uniform quality,but also can save time and reduce power consumption.③Using reclaimed rubber can reduce the heat generated during mixing,hot-rolling,extrusion,and other processing processes,thus avoiding scorching due to excessive heat.This is particularly important for rubber compounds with high carbon black content.
④Compounds containing reclaimed rubber have good fluidity,so they can be extruded and extruded at a fast rate,have small shrinkage during extrusion and expansion during extrusion,and have fewer defects in semi-finished products.
⑤Compounds containing reclaimed rubber have a small thermal plasticity,so they are easy to maintain their original shape during molding and vulcanization.
⑥The vulcanization rate is fast,and the tendency to return to the original state after vulcanization is small.
⑦It can improve the oil and acid and alkali resistance of the product.
⑧Good resistance to aging,can improve the product’s resistance to natural aging and heat oxidation aging.
