In the power industry, insulated rubber sheet is an essential material that is widely used in the safety protection of various high-voltage electrical equipment. Especially in the 10KV voltage grade substation, the use of insulated rubber sheet is indispensable.

Then what is the thickness of 10KV insulated rubber sheet?

10KV insulated rubber sheet usually has a thickness greater than 4mm, and 5mm is a common choice. The thicker the insulation rubber sheet, the stronger its insulation performance.

Factores que afectan la elección del espesor de la lámina de caucho aislada.

When choosing the thickness of insulated rubber sheet, the following key factors need to be considered:

1. Voltage grade: As mentioned earlier, for a 10KV working environment, a minimum of 5mm thick insulated rubber sheet is generally recommended. If conditions permit, a thicker specification can be selected to further enhance safety.

2. Mechanical strength requirements: In addition to electrical performance, some applications may require the rubber sheet to have certain tensile and compressive strength. In this case, the appropriate hardness and resilience of the product should be selected based on the actual working conditions.

3. Environmental conditions: For example, temperature range, the presence of corrosive media, etc. will indirectly affect the service life and reliability of the material. Therefore, equipment working in extreme environments often requires the use of more durable and stable insulating materials.

4. Cost-effectiveness ratio: Of course, from an economic perspective, the balance between procurement costs and maintenance costs should also be considered. Under normal circumstances, increasing investment by a little to achieve long-term stable operation is a very worthwhile approach.
